About the condensed volume of: ‘The Christmas promise’ of Donna Van Liere:

The book is an easy read.  It is narrative at the same time involving lot of conversation. We can envision the story as it is being said. There are many names but the story builds around a few of the characters. It definitely has that charm which kept me reading. Somewhere down the book the readers may guess the promise which the Christmas was to deliver.

The story portraits the building of relationships and meeting of the separated ones, extending help to the acquaintances and strangers, sharing of the feelings and the presents which are very much to do with the Christmas. The statements like: ‘It is the promise of the Christmas that makes Christmas what it is’, ‘It brings the promise of grace; the grace will prevail’, ‘There is always enough mercy to manage’ gives us the feel good factor as we read the book.
