One of the best fictional reads in a very long time that so magically describes the meaning of life. A story of living for one’s passion (heart’s desire) that makes one rise beyond time, space, oneself or any limitation.

It was astonishing to know that what I considered as a personal knowing about deeper aspect of life already stands so beautifully revealed. Whole of this narration reminds me of a video watched a few months ago wherein a person who had given his time to the study in the field of chemistry went on to explain the existence of god; (who may not be different or distinct from us) through basic concepts of chemistry on atomic and subatomic levels; stating everything that appears to us, both living and non- living consists of the protons, electrons (everything has vibrational frequency) and questioning what is that source that supplies energy to these to remain and revolve in their orbit and not fall apart. Dedication to passion for study, to know something, be better at an art each day and practice is certainly a ways out of infinite possible way to give meaning to and know life.

The story points at the meeting of teacher when the student is despairing to meet the teacher to receive the guidance, and the revelation of knowledge by the prodigy thus formed to the future (instructor) teacher. The story also goes on to point out the time in the life cycle of existence wherein the ritual and the rules may take over the very simple yet profound teaching itself and at that time questioning and transcending the norms thus established by the group, a soul breaks free and sets forth on a journey to know the true self again, the very common core of all teachings and that which can be learnt.

 It is this conversation (internal dialogue) we have at times, wherein we find answers, direction and more. This can happen to anyone once aligned with greatest intention and earnest desire to know and to be.

It is not god who holds anything against one or each other rather it is one’s own self. When it comes to exploring life we aren’t stopped and in this journey, one might choose a narrow lane, another, a wide road, a definite or no path. We all have the discretion to choose or not to choose. The fear and our downside is that which separates us. Largely, we are here to love and be the best of what we visualize our life to be.

THE UNIVERSE HAS YOUR BACK – GABRIELLE BERNSTEIN

People have always questioned the authenticity of the channels, mediums, guides among us inquisitively, also out of disbelief. There are several false prophesies. However when we adjudge the message, the truth is brought to light. As many join in to advise us like gurus and healers and when we choose for ourselves, our path becomes clear.

If we decide to be on our own in our journey, we would have to know our way back and take apt action at the instance. If we consider the big picture then everything happening is as per the bigger plan and no one is ever swayed.

A profound wisdom was shared by one of my lecturers in very simple words and it came in a unusual timing when least expected (not sure how many of us students took it to their heart or even heard what he said, then, even I too did not expect him to say something of the sort), “Set yourselves (your intentions) right then let us see how can anything ever go wrong with you.” These words really came striking as a thud to me as he had spoken a truth. I often recollect those words apart from many a life lessons received. We can always keep our intentions and actions pure and love based.

The meditative techniques suggested in the book “The universe has your back” are many and effective, connecting us to the universe.

Probably one thing I did different while reading this book was to ask myself ‘what is the message that the book is trying to pass on to me?’ observe my thought process and pattern.

“There is this cord that connects us to the universe as umbilical does child to the mother. Universe not just has our back, it is the ether that we live in…universe is us, after all what are we other than soulfully, and emotionally formed out of universe.”
